What We Believe

"As a Certified Academic Language Therapist and Qualified Instructor, I get asked many questions about reading and writing. I have never met a teacher that didn't want to help students, but I have met teachers who simply don't have the right training/resources to help those students.

Since Missouri mandated a dyslexia screener for all students K-3, the most often asked question from teachers is, "What do we do after we screen and find characteristics of Dyslexia?" I am sure you have heard this same question. I am so glad there is an answer that has already been researched, written, and piloted. Scottish Rite Hospital of Dallas, TX has already done the leg work, teachers now need to be trained to implement it. If your school district doesn't have a structured literacy approach and plan in place, you would benefit from Northland Dyslexia's workshops and training. I welcome the opportunity to sit down with you and create a plan that will fit your district's needs for supporting Tier 2 and Tier-3 reading and writing."
